This is an example of the process on how team OMTC produces a logo. The cost of this logo was $2000.
Step one is to sketch up ideas based off of keywords provided by the client. Key words should be descriptive. A few of the keywords we were givin were "farm, innovation, digital, growth, research, journalism, and news". It is up to the client to tell us what "words" they want to use. Do you want a tagline or to use an acronym. Do you want an iconic logo, use just a font, or a combination of the two?![]() |
Step two we begin to illustrate our ideas/sketches. We experiment with color, shape, fonts and concept.![]() |
Step two continued...![]() |

Step two continued... (send to client) This is our first final comp. We send this file to the client for them to review. We ask for feedback on colors, shape, fonts and overall design. It is up to the client to point us in the right direction at this stage in the project.![]() |
Step three (send to client). After getting some feedback from the client, we begin to focus on specific concepts and ideas. The client now asked for us to illustrate a camera iris. This is where the client begins to really hone in on their ideas based off of the material we provided in our previous comps.![]() |
Step three continued... (send to client)![]() |
Step four. After sending the client another email with more logo comps... we gathered more feedback and we are now really focusing in on what WE believe to be a really nice looking logo. We focus on detail and try to come up with a really close final solution.![]() |
Finally we get feedback on a logo they really like and we really tighten things up. We provide Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash versions of the logo.![]() The logo this client chose wasn't the one we (OMTC) hoped they would have. We really wanted to push the creative colorful innovative logo but the client chose otherwise. OMTC really tries to explain to the client why they should take what we have to offer into serious consideration before "deciding by committee" as was the result with this project.
