Gainesville Skate Park
This has to be one of my favorite sites to work on. It's simple but the fact that it's a site for a skatepark is what excited me. It is what it is.. nothing special other then I get to skate for free and go to events!!!!!!!

West Side Roofing
Here's another collaboration between OMTC and RimerSoft. The really cool thing about this site is a dynamic gallery that the user (admin) can upload an image into via an HTML form, automatically creating a thumbnail and posting it to the website. Nice work Rimer.

Re:Vision
My buddy Shane Garrett works for Re:Vision, a design and advertising firm in NYC and they needed some help building their site. From what I gathered, these folks are mostly concerned about branding and print design. They designed the site but they couldn't build it. That's where I came in.

Dynamic Flash
I am responsible for maintaining the Spotlights for ufl.edu. I get content from University Relations and photos from Urel photo dept.. I then create the graphics, update the Flash and html pages. This new Flash version is all dynamic. Meaning I never have to open the Flash app to maintain it. It uses external jpegs, txt, and css files.

Matthew Andre Brown (January 2, 1978 - August 10, 2008)
Ned, one of my best friends, was taken from this world in a tragic kayak accident. Taylor McKnight bought and set up matthewandrebrown.com to remember him by. I just don't what else to say... So sad. I'll miss him dearly.

So they came up with this car giveaway idea. I was responsible for project led and design. Jermey Rimer developed the backend.

UF Web Admin Banner
I was asked to design a print banner for the Web Admin department that would be used for display. The dimensions are 33" x 79". I started on a design then passed that comp onto Cory Monteiro for him to play with. Cory created the really colorful vector art. He then sent his version back to me so I could make final refined design adjustments. We call this design process Photoshop Tennis. Cory and I wanted to push the bounderies of what was to be expected. I am sad to say this design was just way to "creative" and was never printed. Bummer.

Summer of Web
Finally a UF web site without the official UF web color pallet. It was refreashing and fun to design this simple one page web site. Summer of Web's full intent is to bring speakers, both internal and external, to discuss the daily issues seen across the Web community. I was responsible for the design and Matt Gonzalez produced the CSS/html.

UF Web Admin Blog
The UF Web Administration blog is UF's Web Admin's opportunity to connect with the UF web community and hopefully share our thoughts and experiences with each other. Official content is provided by Webadmin staff but will have a strong outside component. I was responsibile for the design and production of this site.

The Internet Landfill
This was a joint project between RimerSoft, Corp., Gunterific Productions, and omtc.biz. The Landfill is the virtual dump in which Ward Gunter's daily spambox emails find their final resting place. The design is intended to be crazy, fun, and somewhat chaotic. I was responsible for the design/markup and RimerSoft developed the backend.

UF Performing Arts
I was responsible for "reskinnning" the UF Performing Arts site based off of their new season schedule package. The colors that the designer chose were really tough to work with. I'm really happy with the use of white space that's used within the inner pages. White space makes for a cleaner, breathable, and easier to read pages. The search results page came out nice.

Skylake Book Club
I've been working with WordPress themes for UF (custom themes) but I've never fully completed this process of installation... Until now. My mom asked me to do a site for her book club but I did not want to maintain it for her. This is the perfect project for a blogging platform based site. I also included a calendar plugin so she can set meeting times etc.

Greenroof Canopy
Canopy is a really simple site that I produced for a newly found friend located in D.C.. Being a designer himself, Criston was a pleasure to work with and I learned a lot about how greenrofs can help the enviroment.

Taylor asked if I wanted to help a friend of his out by creating an eCard graphic. Tiffany Randol is a do-it-yourself kind of girl and I was more then happy to help her out.

Asheville Custom Closets
Jumping right into the new year with a mini site project. Asheville Custom Closets is a small family business run by an old buddy of mine and his wife. This mini site took me about three hours to set up and design. I'm using Lytebox for the photo gallery.
Did I mention I did this for free!

Lu Lu's Oceanside Grill
This has to be the best client project I've had the pleasure of working on. Everything went smoothly because we kept things simple and I had a great menu design to work with. I used Lightbox as my navigation engine so this site seems to be a one page site with the menu and photos loading right over top the home page. Very cool stuff.

GoGatorNation.com Redesign
GoGatorNation.com grew over the past year which meant a redesign. The problem was lack of organization of content on the home page. The client also asked for a weekly giveaway contest. Thanx to Joe Spooner for the backend on the giveaway.

University Relations
University Relations web site is a combination of five web sites all rolled into one. This site was a huge challenge to organize so I had lots of help from Unv. Relations themselves.

OSI Restaurant Partners Inc. (logo concept)
When my wife worked for Carrabbas she told me about this logo design contest OSI was sponsoring. I figured I'd give it a try but nothing panned out.
You can visit their corporate site to see what logo they chose.
InsideUF
InsideUF is a monthly news service targeted towards UF staff and is run by University Relations. I had to somewhat follow the layout of the printed version. This project is a WordPress site and my role was design, CSS, and XHTML. Thanks goes out to Daniel Westermann-Clark and Joe Spooner for the backend work.

UF Performing Arts
UF Performing Arts contacted UF Web Admin (my office) and asked for a redesign. I only had their print schedule to go off of as far as design elements go... Thus that teal color. I am responsible for the design and CSS and I also learned CSS/Javascript drop down menus. The site is a Wordpress instance and uses microformats for the calendaring system. Thanx to Daniel Westermann-Clark for the development and Bruce Floyd for project lead.

The Swamp Restaurant
This project was quite the learning experience for me. I learned how to style and admin a Zen Cart store and how to really get into WordPress. I also implemented some AJAX on the menu pages. Thanks goes out to Daniel Westermann-Clark for the development of this project.

Autism Family Training Project
Here is a site that I did for the College of Education for UF. I worked with two developers to create the front end. This site is for parents and researchers to collaborate with each other in the study of autism. There is a main entrance site, a site for parents (username and password) and a site for researchers (username and password).

Kirby Home (Vero Beach, FL)
My parents decided to put their house on the market and wanted me to shoot some panos. My sister and I were raised in this house and will miss it dearly. Ya I could have done some cool 360 pano Flash or Quicktime VR interface but I wanted things to be as simple as possible. Click the thumbnails... view the pano jpegs. That simple!

Save the Date
Here's an announcement flyer I did for my buddy Joe Wierda's wedding. He sure put the pressure on so I had very little time to come up with something. The announcement is 8.5 x 11 inches, printed on both and sides folded in half.

UF Identity
The University of Florida is one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive institutions. By many measures, Florida is ranked among the best universities and among the most complex. For these reasons, it is important that all parts of the university present one clear image through a coordinated identification program. A clear message and visual image highlight the fact that the University of Florida is a multifaceted, but unified organization.
Taylor and I are responsible for the design and layout of the identity web site.

University of Florida Logo Design Comps
The University of Florida is going through some major rebranding and identity changes. Being a member of the UFCN, I got an email calling for campus designers to submit logo comps. Luckily my boss and I started thinking about UF identity changes months before UF officially called for designers so we were ahead of the game... at least we thought so.

Podbop T-Shirt Design
Here's a t-shirt design I did for my buddy's (Taylor & Daniel) music service web site called Podbop. What is Podbop? Let's look at it like this...
Old way: Looking up concerts in your town on an event site, googling 100 different bands, tracking down an MP3 for each band, and then deciding which show you want to go to.
The Podbop way: Type in a city, get MP3s, discover a band you like, and go see them.

Titanium and Plastic: Flyer
This was a gift created for Cory's birthday. Better than just getting him a six pack of beer. Well... Maybe not.
The flyer is printed 8.5 x 11 hi gloss.
